USING PAYPAL

For credit card transactions we use PayPal. We will not accept credit card information over the telephone or via fax. This is for your protection. Please take a moment to read the following explanation on the mechanics of PAYPAL

PayPal is a wholly owned subsidiary of E-BAY that processes credit card transactions. They currently process about 70% of all credit card purchases for E-Bay and facilitate credit card transactions for thousands of on-line merchants around the globe. PayPal provides the consumer with a secure credit card facility which means that no online vendor gets access to your credit card information. As you know, in this day and age, there is a major problem with credit card fraud and it is foolish to give out credit card information to anybody over the phone or via fax. By setting up an account with PayPal you can purchase items on-line and never release any credit card information to a vendor.

PayPal also acts as an intermediary in the event of a dispute between a consumer and a retail merchant. If you pay for a product and do not receive it PayPal will investigate the transaction and if it is proven that the retail merchant was negligent or acted in a fraudulent manner they will reverse the transaction, crediting your account and debiting the retail merchants bank account. Conversely, PayPal will also protect the rights of a retail merchant in the event that a credit card was used fraudulently to purchase goods or services. In short, PayPal protects both the consumer and retail merchant from fraudulent credit card transactions.

In order to use PayPal you need to provide them with some basic information. They will do an initial verification of your identity from your credit card information you provide along with the other pertinent information that they request when you initially sign up with PayPal. That information is transmitted to clearing facility used by banks and credit card companies. If all checks out properly you will be set up as a non registered member of PayPal. As a non registered member of PayPal you are allowed to spend up to $2,000.00 per transaction, based on your credit card limits.

Credit Card Profile

In the event that the initial check out comes back with an error code they will request additional information. An error code has nothing to do with your credit worthiness. If one of the credit card numbers was wrong, or, if you've recently moved, or, if you left out your middle initial, put in a wrong telephone number etc. etc. an error will come back. All it takes is one minor error to trigger an error code. Remember, PayPal does not know who you are and as far as they know, you may be attempting to use a stolen credit card.

Please remember that this is for your protection in the event that an unauthorized 3rd party is attempting to use your credit card.

If an error code appears they will request your bank account information. They are not doing a credit report on you. They are using your bank for verification of your identity. You banker set up your bank account and most banks require a credit card and drivers license to set up a bank account. Once they have your bank account information they will send a small deposit of under twenty five cents to your bank account. That takes between 24 to 48 hours. When you verify the amount of the deposit they've sent you, you are then a fully registered member of PayPal. as a fully registered member of PayPal you can charge any amount up to your credit card limit. Believe it or not, some people actually buy cars through E-Bay using their credit cards.


Once you are set up and authorized to use PayPal just click on the PayPal banner on the order form page and follow the instructions. Your payment is credited to our PayPal account within one hour. You get an activity print out of your purchase and you'll also get a an e-mail sent to you confirming the transaction. When your confirmation e-mail is sent to you they also send an e-mail to us advising us of your purchase and the credit balance in our PayPal account.

At that point we are ready to send you Kwik*POP. You now have duplicate verification of your purchase and we have confirmation of your purchase. Once you download Kwik*POP into your computer and fill out the registration form, our servers confirm the installation of Kwik*POP in your computer. You buy ... we send .. you download and we have completed the transaction. Everybody has a complete history of the entire transaction.

We realize that the initial set up with PayPal is a bit of a hassle in this day and age of instant gratification, but, by taking a few extra steps you'll have the comfort of purchasing on the internet and never having to give out your credit card info to a complete stranger.
