FAQ: ESignal Version of Kwik*POP
1) How do I set up the Line tool to draw Trend Lines?
Right click on the pencil in the tool bar. Select segment, color and width. Click OK. When you wish to draw a line, left click on the pencil and the mouse pointer turns into a pencil. Place the pencil at a point where you want to start a line. Hold the mouse down and drag the line to the size you want and release the mouse.
2) Why can’t I see the new indicator or trend line that I just added to the chart?
There are 2 steps that must be taken so that lines and indicators will show on your chart. For the indicators to show you must first remove the background color from the chart by right clicking on the screen, select remove and then click on the background color indicator (normally TSKpFast2 or TSKPUniversal), then add the new indicator and then the background color.
For the drawn trend lines you must right click on the screen and select properties. Make sure that the box to the left of “Draw Study Titles” is checked.
3) How do I add another indicator to the chart?
First remove the background color from the chart by right clicking on the screen, select remove and then click on the background color indicator (normally TSKpFast2 or TSKPUniversal). Then right click on the screen and select formulas, then Kwikpop. Select the indicator you want to add and left click. Now add the background color back in.
I don't like the sequence of my sub graphs. How can I change the order position of these indicators?
You can click and drag an indicator to the location you want--above or below another one. Just hold the Ctrl key down, left mouse click and hold down on the Indicator you want to move and drag it.
4) Why don’t my tick charts start in the morning? How do I create a Time Template?
The process of loading in tick charts is very slow when opening up your chart each morning. You can speed up the process by setting up a Time Template.
First right click on the screen and select Time Template. Click on Edit, then new. Click on New Template—under Template Items –
Type should be changed to User Defined
Interval should be changed to T for Tick or V for Volume
# of Days should be changed to 5
Click on the Button in front of Days
Start Time should be 00:00
End Time should be 24:00
Now click Update/Add
5) What indicator colors the bars?
TSKPScoreCard.efs is the indicator that colors the bars
6) What indicator creates the arrows?
TSKPPivotPOP.efs creates the red and blue arrows
7) How can I show just 1 subgraph at a time?
Just right click on the screen and place a check mark to the left of “Stack Studies” To show all the subgraphs at once just right click on the screen and place a check mark to the left of “Tile Studies”
Why do the Indicators in the Subgraphs always show "Loading Data"?
Just right click on the screen--select "Tile Studies". Then right click again on the screen --select "Stack Studies"
8) How do I remove the indicator list from the left side of the chart?
Just right click on the screen, select Properties and remove the check mark that is to the left of “Draw Title Studies”
9) How do I apply a template?
First we must load a basic chart. Just go File-New-Advanced Chart-Default Chart.
Then go File-Open-Templates and select the template that you want to use.
10) I forgot my User Name and Password. How do I get it?
Send an email to easysgnl@bellsouth explaining that you misplaced your User Name and Password
11) What indicators do we use for determining the pivots?
You use the cross of TSKPa900 over TSKPAutostop as the basis of the pivot structure.
12) Where can I find the basic rules for using Kwikpop?
The basic Kwikpop trading rules can be found in www.pdf.kwikpop.com/tsprofile1.pdf
13) I cannot see the tick counter after installing it. How do I show it?
The tick counter installs directly behind the price screen on the right side. Just place your mouse pointer somewhere on the price bar screen, left click and hold it down. At the same time merely drag the screen to the left until you can see the tick counter.
14) How do I place more than 1 indicator in the same subgraph?
After you install the indicators just hold the shift key down and left click and hold down on the indicator you want to move onto the other one. Then just drag the first indicator onto the other one and release the mouse pointer.
15) How do I remove the extra numbers that appear in the price axis?
The extra numbers that appear on the price axis are developed from the indicators on the price bars. To remove them just right click on the right axis and click on the check mark to the left of each one. Repeat for each indicator.
16)How do I change the symbol?
To change the symbol type the first letter of the new symbol and the “Change Symbol” box appears. Finish entering the desired symbol and click OK
17) How do I change the Interval?
To change the symbol strike the comma key and the “Change Symbol” box appears. Enter the desired interval and click OK.
For example
74t creates a 74 tick chart
2 creates a 2 minute chart
D creates a Daily chart
18) My Indicators don't look right or my Chart does not have any price bars
Right click on the chart, select Cursor, then Cursor window. Hold the Control key down and at the same time left click on the Green window of the Cursor window that contains OK. This will refresh and add more data.
19) My local hard drive is not “C” What do I have to do?
After subscribing and installing Kwikpop for eSignal on a computer that has a local drive that is not “C” you must change the path for each formula. To do this you must use the EFS editor. Select Tools—EFS—Editor. On the upper left side of the Editor screen you will see an open folder –left click on the folder. Left click on the + sign to the left of Kwikpop and select the first formula. On the third line of each formula is a statement that looks like:
Var mydll=newDLL(“C:\\Program Files\\Kwik POP for eSignal\\kpesignal.dll”);
Very carefully change the C to whatever your drive is designated. Save the formula and repeat for each one.
20) How do I download
another copy of Kwik*POP for eSignal? I want to install Kwikpop on another
computer.

Make sure that you have your User Name ready because you will be asked for it so that we can determine what file you require.
21) I just switched from one computer to my second installation and I receive the message "Invalid Password" but I am using my correct sign in information. What causes this?
Kwikpop is just like the eSignal program. It will only operate on 1 computer at a time. Sometimes there will be up to a 30 minute delay before our servers recognize that Kwikpop has stopped running on the first computer and is now running on the second. You just have to wait for this short time for Kwikpop to reset the server information.
22) What are the steps I have to follow if eSignal or Kwikpop must be re-installed?
First you must remove these folders and files before re-installing eSignal and Kwikpop.
eSignal program-- use the add/remove function of windows
winsig.ini file (if found)--use search function of windows
winros.ini file (if found)--use search function of windows
dbcapi.dll file (if found)--use search function of windows
Kwikpop for Esignal in the Program Files (if found)
Kwikpop in the formula folder of eSignal (if found)
esbasic in template folder of eSignal (if found)
esadvanced in template folder of eSignal (if found)
forex in template folder of eSignal (if found)
Profile1 in template folder of eSignal (if found)
Re-installation
Go to
eSignal.com and download the latest version of eSignal

23) I am getting a "Subscription Validation" error. What shall I do?
This means that the Kwik*POP server is unable to check the status of the subscription on your computer. We have re programmed the Kwikpop installer so that Kwik*POP will resort to a backup server in the event that the original server is experiencing problems.
First you should make sure that you have saved all of your charts as Templates. Then you must remove:
Kwikpop for Esignal in the Program Files
Kwikpop in the formula folder of eSignal
Next you will now download another copy of Kwik*POP which will have the revised installer
